Reflecting on the Stop Motion Project

I have always admired stop motion films, both in the process of their creation as well as the charm of the final products. Actually creating a stop motion piece gave me the firsthand confirmation that it is an incredibly tedious process that requires great patience, foresight, and craftsmanship. I've dabbled in creating some simple stop motion films since middle school but am always learning about new and fascinating techniques used by animators. I can't imagine the amount of time and dedication it took to create films such as Coraline or Fantastic Mr. Fox (some of my favorite movies since childhood).

I attempted to use sound design to bring this piece to life. Through creating and positioning short audio clips, this "40 second routine" becomes real.
