Learning Objectives for New Media, New Forms

While I have a fair amount of experience with technology in relation to the arts, there is always more to learn. In undergraduate studies I regularly used Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator and engaged with technology such as laser printers, exposure units for silkscreening, and woodworking machines. I also have experience with sound technology in relation to stage/concert production, recording, and producing. However, I have always preferred using traditional mediums, so I want to challenge myself to blur the lines between tactile and digital works. 

In this course my three main objectives are: 

- Incorporating/evolving my personal style through digital works

- Creating more mixed media pieces (installations, video works, etc)

- Finding creative ways to incorporate emerging technology into traditional mediums
